A Full Professor of Endocrinology and Internal Medicine, working currently as Director of Research and
Scientific Center at Sultan Bin Abdulaziz Humanitarian City. During the period from 1981 until 2019 he
worked in the College of Medicine at King Saud University and the Director of Strategic Center for
Diabetes Research. Professor Al-Rubeaan is a Part-time WHO consultant at Regional Office for the
Eastern Mediterranean region (EMRO) and the chairman of board of trustee and founder of Diabetes
Science International Foundation, Basal, Switzerland. He is Editor-in-Chief for International Journal of
